The Chalet
A traditional Alpine farmhouse in Buchen im Prättigau, a quiet village in Graubünden at around 1,000 metres. Wooden beams, two separate dining rooms, a living room with a wood stove, a ping pong table in the barn, and a large garden with mountain views on every side. The kind of place that feels like it's been lived in and loved.
The Workspace
There are two separate spaces to work from — a large communal table for when you want company, and a quieter table if you need some peace. Most rooms also have a private desk. Good WiFi throughout.
The Area
The Prättigau is one of Graubünden's quieter valleys — a long stretch of meadows, forest paths, and traditional villages running east from Landquart toward Klosters. Good hiking straight from the chalet, and enough nearby to fill a full day out. We'll likely visit Maienfeld — the village that inspired Heidi — on one of the weekend days.

At some point I also realised how easy it is to fall into a routine that starts feeling heavy. Going outside helped. Working around strangers helped too — it gave me space to get out of my own head and see things differently. Wild Desk grew out of that."
