About

The story behind Wild Desk.

What is Wild Desk?

Wild Desk organises short work trips in nature for small groups of remote and hybrid workers. You bring your laptop and your regular schedule. We take care of the place, the food, and something worth doing on the weekend. Work and adventure, in the same few days.

A few days

Thursday to Sunday. Short enough to fit around work, long enough to feel somewhere different.

Small group

8 to 10 people. Different jobs, different countries, same idea.

All-inclusive

Accommodation, all meals, WiFi, and one organised outdoor activity. Just bring your laptop.

Who comes on a Wild Desk trip?

Remote workers, hybrid workers, freelancers — anyone whose job can travel for a few days. People come from different countries and different industries. Most come alone. The common thread is a laptop, a few days available, and the feeling that their usual backdrop could use a change.

How it started

The flat, the same coffee corner, the same four walls. Remote work is great, until the backdrop stops being something you notice at all. I kept thinking: what if I could just take my regular work week somewhere that changes how it feels?

That question became Wild Desk. The first trip was in March 2026 — six people, a chalet in Oey-Diemtigen, and four days of actual work. Not a wellness retreat. Not a "digital detox." Just work, but with mountains outside the window and people who also brought their laptops.

Something about it worked. People were genuinely productive. They also cooked dinner together, went for walks, and stayed in touch after. I didn't design that — it just happened when you put a small group of remote workers in the same house for a few days.

If that sounds interesting to you, come on a trip. Bring your laptop and a few days. That's the whole brief.
